  • Richard Newton is the CEO and owner of International Solutions Services, LLC, a run-off services company established in 1996, with its principal locations in Florida and Texas. Rick has spent considerable time working with the Rhode Island Insurance Department on the development of the amended run-off regulations. Rick serves on a number of insurance boards and is involved in the ownership and management of several run-off insurance companies. Rick has worked in the domestic and international insurance industry for over 30 years, primarily providing advisory and management services to troubled run-off and turn around insurance situations. His experience includes the development of corporate strategies and the execution of operational plans while leading many successful run-off projects. Rick has been involved in a wide range of transaction situations involving the development of carefully planned reinsurance programs in support of restructured run-off companies, acquisitions, divestitures and governmental privatizations.   • Luann M. Petrellis (Independent consultant to EY)  is an attorney and drafted the Amendments to Insurance Regulation 68 for the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation. Luann specializes in developing run-off strategies for discontinued insurance and reinsurance businesses.  Recently Luann was engaged by Ernst & Young to provide insurance advisory services in connection with the new Rhode Island regulations.  Luann also works with several run-off groups involved with restructuring transactions and works with regulators in several states regarding changes and new developments in legislation pertaining to run-off companies.  For over 20 years, Luann has served in senior management roles for commercial P & C insurance and reinsurance run-off businesses, working for many years with White Mountains Insurance Group and Berkshire Hathaway, Inc.  Luann is a member of the PA Bar Association and received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.  For more information contact Luann by email at  lpetrellis@verizon.net or by phone at (610) 304-4524.
